ISO 14001: What It Is, and How It Fits Alongside ISO 9001 and ISO 45001
Why is ISO 14001 important?
ISO 14001 is important because it gives an organization a structured way to manage its environmental impact and keep up with environmental regulations. Certification shows customers, regulators and investors that environmental performance is actively managed, not left to chance. Because it shares a structure with ISO 9001 and ISO 45001, a site can fold it into one integrated management system instead of running three separate ones.
